A few weeks ago, I was sitting in my apartment getting ready for a podcast interview. I had my matcha next to me, my prep notes open, and I was reading the title of the episode we were about to record: What Do You Really Want?

I smiled when I saw it because it’s such a simple question.

And yet I know from experience it can be surprisingly difficult to answer in certain seasons of your life.

In the quick fix and everything immediate era we’re in, anytime I hear the word hack, something in my body tightens.

I’ve never been someone who could hack my way through life. And every time I’ve tried to shortcut into clarity, ease, or change, it hasn’t worked for me, or worst it left me feeling like “I just couldn’t make it.” Not because I wasn’t trying hard enough, but because it was never aligned with how my body naturally moves, creates, and knows.

People ask me all the time who I work with.

My answer is usually simple, “I work with women.”
But the truer answer is actually this: "I work for women."

I advocate for women. And I do that because I have seen, up close, what happens when women do not have spaces where they feel safe enough to tell the truth and to be witnessed without being fixed or judged.

I wanted to share a wild and personal story about how a year of expansion began for me with one little word.

So at the very start of last year, I sat in a heart led women’s circle and during a meditation, we were invited to welcome in a word to guide us in the year ahead. Something to root and expand us forward.

Just a guess, but I imagine at the beginning of every new year, you try to start your year with intention. Because you actually know that how you start something matters, and that it can change how everything unfolds!

Let’s be honest, most years begin in a rush. We move straight from the holidays into full speed mode. And these last few weeks of January have probably felt like a total BLUUUUURRRRRR. (And on top of that, emotionally heavy!) Goals, plans, expectations, and often the pressure to “get it right” from day one.

I won't hide the lead here. I believe VALUES are so important, not just to know what yours are, but to lead from them too. When you lead your life with your values, and it's actually how you choose your friends, conduct your work, spend your time, spend your money, and navigate your energy...it creates that deeper sense of trust, alignment and purpose within ourselves. 

AND the things that make us angry, triggered, disappointed or all around rageful, are often things that are also pushing up against our personal values. And there's A LOT to be completely rageful about right now, I know I am!

As we move toward the close of 2025, many of us begin to feel the shift of the season. The pace quickens, the holidays approach, and it becomes easy to lose ourselves in the noise and busyness of it all.

This year, we are creating something different.

Last week in Monday's Drop In Community I asked the group a question that I wanted to bring to all of you.

Let me set the stage with a story from when I was dating, before I met my man. I don’t know if you knew this about me, but I was quite the serial dater and went on over 200 first dates!

Needless to say, I was looking for my partner for a really long time, which meant I went to plenty of events and weddings alone. At almost every single one of them, I’d be asked the question that would make me cringe:

As Summer begins to wind down, I've been reflecting on how I gave myself space these past few months. I truly didn't intentionally plan to take time away from writing to you, but I found myself deep in play, creativity, and dreaming, which is exactly what Summer calls us into.

I wanted to share a story with you today, from several summers ago, that has to do with a haircut and a dream!

Summer is all about abundance.

It’s a season of playing full out, radiating joy, and being in full bloom.
But so many of us barely feel that.

By the time Labor Day rolls around, we often look back and wonder where it all went. We pack our calendars totally full, but in the process, miss the real invitation of the season.

That’s because we get pulled into a version of summer that is fast, full and focused on doing more. If you're looking at your summer schedule, asking yourself how to be even more productive, this is probably for you.

This month marks 4 years since I started my business!

4 whole amazing years of figuring it out, learning as I go, building something meaningful from scratch, and being stretched in ways I didn’t expect!

But before any of it began, I have to share, I almost didn’t launch my business!

I remember sitting at my desk, ready to share the announcement that the brand I had dreamed up was coming to life. I was nervously excited, and then, seemingly out of nowhere, SCREECH!!! I simply felt terrified.

I was on a call this week with a client who shared she's having a hard time making a BIG career decision. She kept referencing what her friends were saying, what her parents were telling her to do, and what her boyfriend believed was best for her. We paused for a moment, and I asked, "If you COULDN'T make a 'wrong' decision or disappoint anyone, what would you choose?"

And suddenly, poof, the answer became crystal clear to her!

Two weeks ago in The Drop In Community, I opened our session with, "Today we're going to brag." and even though everyone was on mute, I could see a few gasps in the room!

I wasn't talking about the humble brag. The one where you sneak in something you’re proud of but quickly soften it with a little self-deprecation.

Nope. We truly bragged! We named what we’re here for, what we’re amazing at, and what we love about the way we show up in the world. And let me tell you, it was powerful.

This is a message for the deep feelers, the deep thinkers, the women who crave community centered on coming together to feel more fully alive.

Especially now, when connection is less of a suggestion, and more of a life force.

About eight months ago, I found myself reading a book on the science of embodiment in women’s bodies. From the very first chapter, I felt an undeniable pull—something about the author’s words resonated on a deeper level. Her insights felt different, almost like a call to action. I knew I had to learn more about her.

Within ten minutes of diving deeper, I had signed up for an intimate women’s embodiment retreat she was hosting.

I want to share something with you that feels both important and vulnerable  - especially this time of year when we’re bombarded with goal setting strategies and “new year, new you” energy.

Here’s the personal story I want to share with you today:

I actually know firsthand what it feels like to dive straight into a new year without carving out the time or the space to ground myself. And I’m not talking about 10 years ago when I was burning the candle at both ends, I’m talking about ONE year ago!

As in how are you REALLY feeling?

If you’re like me, most of my clients, and many of the women inside The Drop In - things feel complex and nuanced. We’re juggling massive tension, and honestly…? We’re feeling a little spicy about it.

So today as we close out the year, I want to lean into this.

Yesterday was the Winter Solstice, which is the shortest day in of the year and true start to this season. Winter is the time to slow down, honor rest, and trust in the unseen cycles of creation. Like the trees and the frozen earth, we are invited to conserve energy, nourish ourselves, and honor what happens in the space of the unseen. Winter holds space for deep reflection and quiet growth in the fertile void, allowing us to recharge and reconnect with our inner wisdom. Welcome, this is the sacred energy of Winter. 

I imagine you might be feeling the full out end-of-year push right now

Trying to squeeze every last drop of our energy into holiday parties, work deadlines, and checking everything off the list before midnight on December 31st.

But instead of getting caught up in the rush, I have a different ask of you:

What would it mean to finish this year with intention?
