Navigating the Too Muchness

If you’ve been feeling A LOT this week…SAME!

The Too Muchness of the world is very heavy right now.

Post election, hate in the world, wars, devastating natural disasters….
Not to mention the holidays are quickly approaching and maybe you're navigating complexity of time with family.

All of this together paired with whatever you have going on personally in your world often leads to a total overload of our nervous systems.

If you've been feeling:
😐 Numb
😡 Angry
🤮 Disgusted
😢 Hopeless
or all of the above...

You're absolutely not alone. These are all some of the feelings I've been honoring with my clients this week too.

So what do we do with all this TOO MUCHNESS?

Here are a few ways you can hold the complex textures of life right now:

  1. Name your truths and allow them to ground you - because you can hold a lot of truths at one time. It takes a bit of practice to expand our capacity.

Here are 3 truths you can name in this exact moment:
    I am feeling...
    I am resisting...
    I am grateful for...

  2. Feel into this question - “What can I release to the Universe’s ‘to-do’ list?” So much of life is beyond our control - what if you invited a larger energy to hold your hopes and wishes, especially right now? So as you’re making your To Do list this week, make an extra column for those things that need some extra help - and give them over to the Universe.

  3. Go where there is more love  - especially when things are too much. When I have a hard time, the first thing I do honestly is hide under the covers! Then I call my nearest and dearest to pour out my heart. Can you pick one friend this week and cultivate intentional space to have a deep heart to heart - without feeling the need to fix things? Just hold sacred space with love and compassion.

And in case you need that permission slip -take a social break. (I’m totally working on this too, and it’s 100% what I need.) Let yourself be tapped into your world first before tapping into others.

Know that I’m navigating all of this “too muchness” alongside you, and would love to hear how you’re honestly doing and what feels most supportive to you. Here with love and support during this messy and complex time.

With and gratitude,
Jennifer
