Gratitude for the Plot Twists
If your inbox is like mine - it’s blasted with either Black Friday promotions or words of gratitude.
While I don’t have a Black Friday sale to bring you right now (sigh of relief!), I DO have a non-traditional take on gratitude during this Thanksgiving week.
This year, I’m feeling pulled toward gratitude for the things that didn’t work out. The unexpected twists, u-turns and plot twists in life.
Things like getting let go from a job, relationships not working out, career paths not going “as planned”....
The things that you now can look back on and say, “Wow, I’m so glad that actually didn’t work out because it created space for me to….”
So, as we enter into this Thanksgiving week, I want to invite you to think about gratitude through this lens too. Including those times when the Universe shut a door for you, that you didn’t expect to close.
What unexpected moment in your life are you grateful for and what good sprouted from it?
Because we know that with the holiday season often comes unconscious overgiving - I’ll share a few reflections to help you navigate this week and possibly the whole holiday season.
We dove deep on this topic inside The Drop In last week, and it was so powerful!
→ What’s one feeling you want to experience this holiday season?
→ And then, what’s one thing you can create to invite that feeling in more?
It could be a boundary you need to set, a letter you need to send, an intentional gathering you want to create. Write this down, post it to your fridge, and look back at it often to help you honor your needs.
While we’re on the topic of The Drop In (and in the spirit of Thanksgiving), I want to acknowledge how grateful I am to be entering YEAR TWO of this incredible community! It’s beyond my wildest dreams to gather with intentional, amazing women every Monday to begin our weeks together.
If you’re feeling busier than busy and need a space to ground yourself - I’d love for you to join us next Monday.
Last but not least, I want to say thank you, thank you and THANK YOU for being a part of this community. I don’t take it for granted that you’ve opened your inbox to me this year. And I hope in this space, you truly feel seen.
Wishing you a restful and nourishing Thanksgiving!
With ♡ and gratitude,
Jennifer
