Use Your Friends For Their Gifts

There’s something really transformative about being in community, right?

About leaning on one another, not only for connection but also for support. Where you’re feeling “Ahhh yes, these are my people!”

It reminds me of a time when I was redecorating my entire bedroom and wanted it to feel way more cozy, luxurious, and inviting.

That week, I went out to lunch with a friend who just happens to be a master at decorating and design (it’s actually her job!). I was telling her about my desire to redecorate and with a gazillion options out there, I was feeling unsure where to start.

And she said, “Use me for my gifts!”

I sent her some ideas and inspiration, and she made all of my bedroom dreams come to life.

It gave me a thought that we should always be using our friends for their gifts and talents. And we can do that in return with our own gifts - paying it forward.

Because isn’t the feminine village all about building spaces where everyone is needed? Where we get to bring our gifts, our realness, and our truth?

And honestly, when this happens, we’re all better for it.
