The Sacred Energy Of Winter

Happy Winter Solstice! ❄️🕯️

Today is the day when we step into the energy that is Winter in the Northern Hemisphere.

I have to admit something to you, I used to absolutely hate Winter with a passion! 

The constant cold and chill up my spine.
The tightness I always felt in my body.
The slippery driveways and sidewalks and shoveling.
Not going outside without wearing what felt like my whole wardrobe.

What's been your relationship with Winter? 

Several years ago I started learning about attuning to the energy of each season and yes, even honoring this cold, dark energy of Winter!

When we attune to the energy of each specific season, we then step into a natural rhythm or natural order of life. And for many people, that also means tapping into a flow in your life that you might not have ever thought possible!

For the next three months, you're invited to ground into a deeper meaning of REST!
A deeper meaning of SLOWING DOWN.
And a deeper meaning of honoring your NERVOUS SYSTEM.

When we fully embrace all of Winter, and not just this holiday season, it's one of the most magical times of the year! 

I get that in your busy busy busy life, it's probably often hard to slow down naturally if you're not consciously making extra space for it. 

If you're wanting to feel more of the energy of Winter this season, here are 5 simple ways to allow your body to relax, slow down and yes even rest!

  1. 🛁 Take daily nourishing baths

  2. 🕯️ Light a candle state your intention for the day

  3. 🌚 Take moments of turning off all the lights and letting yourself quietly sit in the darkness.

  4. 🧘‍♂️ Take a Yin yoga class and notice your body naturally releasing tension.

  5. 💝 Protect your energy and be liberal with saying a great big NO this season!
